Hello! Thank you for visiting my site! My name is Danielle, though I often go by Dani. I am a journalist, communications specialist, and aspiring digital and broadcast media producer and personality. I have always been passionate about being “in the know,” sharing information and stories with others and creating both content and community.

I recently graduated from Carleton University’s Bachelor’s of Journalism program where I also minored in Communication and Media Studies. While attending Carleton University I completed courses in news writing, audio and video news production, specialty courses focused on business and sports reporting, and a strategic communications course aimed at creating a strategic communications plan for a community client.

I am a very outgoing and positive individual. I always aim to cover the more “happy” news in the world and like to focus on community unity. I am interested in topics including, but not limited to popular culture, music, film, and local and community interests.

I currently work as an on-call Education Assistant, Early Childhood Educator, and Teacher in both elementary and secondary schools. I find this work to be extremely fulfilling and an excellent experience in adaptability, dynamism, leadership, and teamwork.

I hope to bring my skills and experiences into the field of journalism, media, and communications to create content and projects that are informed, valuable, interesting and exciting.
